Watch The Black Keys Perform Their Album Releases Live
Northern Ohio is known to produce many great artists, and one of them is Akron’s very own The Black Keys. The Black Keys have quickly emerged as one of the great American rock bands of our time. The Black Keys, a duo consists of Dan Auerbach on the guitar and vocals, and drummer/producer Patrick Carney. This Grammy Award-winning blues and rock duo is known for their widespread commercial success with their licensed songs featured in movies, video games, as well as on television shows. If this rock-blues duo rocks their albums, the band is something else when performing live. For those who have watched The Black Keys live would agree to this. To date, they have recorded and released live albums which feature songs from their albums as well as several covers. Their DVD documents their high energy performances, music videos, and short interviews with the duo.
Since the band’s inception in 2001, the band has already sold over 1.7 million records with six The Black Keys studio albums and a couple other The Black Keys live albums and EPs. On October 4, 2005, the band released their first live album, Live. The Black Keys Live album is their first live DVD album which was recorded from their show at The Metro Theatre in Sydney, Australia on March 18, 2005. The track listing includes 17 songs which includes their hit singles ’10 A.M. Automatic’, ‘Girl Is On My Mind’, ‘Hard Row’, ‘Set You Free’, ‘Till I Get My Way’, and ‘Have Love, Will Travel’.
In 2004, The Black Keys Live in Austin, Texas was the band’s first official live bootleg. This bootleg that’s stemmed from the 10,000 piece limited Thickfreakness in Austin musical DVD-Video that was released by Jumper Productions. The concert was recorded on October 24, 2003, at Austin’s Emos as a part of The Black Keys’ Thickfreackness U.S. tour. The track listing of The Black Keys live album includes 13 tracks which includes ‘Hard Row’, ‘Thickfreakness’, ‘Busted’, ‘Them Eyes’, ‘The Breaks’, ‘Set You Free’, ‘Do The Rump’, ‘I’ll Be Your Man’, ‘Have Love Will Travel’, ‘No Trust’, ‘No Fun’, ‘Everywhere I Go’ (Encore), and ‘Heavy Soul’ (Encore).
The second The Black Keys live album, Live at The Crystal Ballroom, was released on November 18, 2008. Directed by Lance Bangs, the concert was filmed at Portland, Oregon at the Crystal Ballroom on April 4, 2008. They performed songs that were all written by Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney, released by Nonesuch Records label and produced by The Black Keys themselves. The track listing consists of 17 songs with some of the songs on the track list include songs from The Black Keys Live album. Other songs included are ‘Same Old Thing’, ‘You’re The One’, ‘Your Touch’, ‘Strange Times’, and ‘Til I Get My Way’. The band is currently touring and The Black Keys tickets are now selling.
