The Big Texas Wedding of Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton

The Princess and Prince of country music, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton, were finally done with their own Royal wedding on May 14, 2011. The Nashville Star and ACM/Grammy Award-winning, multi –millionaire country singer Miranda Lambert could have had a top range wedding dress that she could buy. But instead of going for an expensive designer gown, Lambert opted to wear her mother’s wedding dress for her wedding with Blake Shelton, her beau of five years.

The Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert wedding has been one of the most awaited nuptials this year and the singing superstars tied the knot on a Texas ranch. The matrimony was unique and intimate which were surrounded by 560 of their friends and family which includes Reba McEntire, Martine McBride, Dierks Bentley, and Kellie Pickler. After a year of planning for the bid day, Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton filled the day with laughter, tears, and lots of memories. It was a weekend-long celebration and the couple has chosen a local inn where they spent their last night together as single people.

The blonde beauty walked down the aisle in her mother’s wedding gown and custom made Casadei cowboy boots in a lantern-lit barn. According to Lambert, “My parents have been married for 33 years, so this dress is already a good-luck charm”. Blake Shelton himself wore denim, a shirt, tie, vest and jacket as his wedding suit. The Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton wedding was kept country for the Texas ceremony. For a wedding cake, they had a brown cake which was meant to look like worn leather and it was accentuated with hot pink icing. She had a 4-pound brooch bouquet made of costume jewelry, and the reception hall was decked out with hunting and fishing gears. The evening reception lasted for hours and while donning Stetsons and cowboy boots, the guests to the Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert wedding were treated with a traditional Texas barbeque at the traditional American ranch. After the ceremony, Lambert told the Us magazine, ‘I’m married to my best friend’, and she added ‘looking forward to a lifetime of laughter.’ Shelton also said, “I wanted to be married to Miranda the day I proposed. Finally, it’s official!”

The new Mr. And Mrs. Shelton spent a few days after their wedding relaxing and fishing in their home in Tishomingo, Oklahoma before they returned to their busy schedules as superstars. The newlywed couple was on top of the world after their big Texan wedding. Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton want all their fans to see how amazing the wedding was that they have released official wedding pictures and a video footage from their rehearsals, parties, wedding ceremony, and to the reception. Post wedding, the singer will be touring and as such, Miranda Lambert tickets are now available to the public.
