Israeli fans are greatly excited for Madonna’s comeback. So excited that they even urged the Israeli Prime Minister to postpone a war with Iran until after Material Girl’s kickoff concert.  In fact, there is a FaceBook fan page dedicated to such case. The fan page is named “Bibi don’t start a war with Iran until after Madonna’s show on May 29.”

The Israeli Government has been in a tense situation with the nuclear-armed Iran and debates of a preventive strike are in progress. While most of the Israeli population is in support of a military action against Iran, it seems Madonna fans would like to have the Queen of Pop hold a concert first before they let loose their bombs.

After Tel Aviv, Madonna is then slated to continue her world tour in two venues in the Middle East: Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates and Istanbul, Turkey. After the Middle East leg, Madonna will proceed to do 26 shows in the European continent.

In her latest song titled I Don’t Give A, Madonna looks like she drew some inspiration from her capsized marriage as the lyrics of the song seemed to be aimed towards her ex-husband Guy Ritchie. Madonna and Ritchie got married in 2000 but after eight years of marriage, the couple went to Splitsville, with Ritchie reportedly ending up with $92 million in settlement.

An observer said that the lyrics indeed hinted of the music artist’s experiences with her failed union with Ritchie. Some of the lyrics read:

“I tried to be a good girl/I tried to be your wife/Diminished myself/And I swallowed my light/I tried to become all/That you expect of me/And if it was a failure/I don’t give a (bleep).”

This is not the first time Madonna was expressive with her failed relationships. The music artist wrote some verse detailing her emotions after her failed marriage with Sean Penn, Madonna’s first husband.

Their last major concert was held in the House of Blues in Westwood Califronai last January 12th, 2012. That said, they did perform in a series of simultaneous music performances last March at the Chicago City Union Station, teaming up with Sara Bareilles. The event literally transformed a significant portion of the train station into a pseudo night club, complete with red carpet, cash bars, and lounge chairs.

But commuters did not seem to mind. After all, it was Maroon 5 performing.

“It’s not as chaotic as I thought it would be,” Kammy McClurg, 44, said when she was redirected to another exit. Several commuters got a glimpse through the curtained off-doors as the concert was going on. Celebrities in the audience included Rosie O’Donnell.

But for those who are looking to get real concert action, Maroon 5 will be playing in the following venues:

Maroon 5 front man founds calling in coaching

Many people thought it was a bad idea for Maroon 5′s lead vocals Adam Levine to join NBC’s TV-sining contest show The Voice as a coach. But for Levine, the move defined him.

“‘I am a fan of people saying that because it must mean I’m doing something right. I’ve never been a fan of the cookie-cutter way of life. I liked that this was spiking something new into what I do,” Levine said.

Levine found success as a coach in the show when he coached Javier Colon, a singer-songwriter from Stratford, Connecticut, throughout the show’s first season. Colon won the competition last year and his winning performance was received with positive reviews by Levine’s fellow coaches.

Levine tells that he is not about winning when it comes to coaching his contestants. “I am there to help people be fully realized and have people see the best versions of who they are.”

Levine is also a big fan of rising NBA point guard Jeremy Lin of the New York Knicks.

“He is an inspiring dude,” Levine says of Lin.

After rocking Columbus Civic Center and UNO Lakefront Arena, Lady Antebellum will regale their Rosemont, Illinois fans with their music at the Allstate Arena on March 9th. The following night, the group will then perform at the Mid America Center in Council Bluffs, Iowa. Lady Antebellum will finish the week with a concert at the Target Center, Minneapolis, Minnesota on March 11th.

Next on the program will be a Canadian tour with a kickoff at the MTS Centre in Winnipeg on March 13th. The group will then perform at the Credit Union Centre in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan on the following day. On March 16th, Lady Antebellum will be at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, Alberta. They will next perform at the Rexall Place in Alberta on the next evening. The Canada tour will be punctuated with a night at the Pacific Coliseum in Seattle, Washington.

In other news, the award-winning group has been tapped by the Lipton brand to be the company’s partner in promoting new Lipton products – the Lipton Tea & Honey iced tea mixes and Lipton 100% Natural ready-to-drink bottled iced tea – while brandishing the “Drink Positive” slogan.

Swift describes her songwriting style as highly autobiographical. “If you listen to my albums, it’s like reading my diary,” Swift said.

Swift, whose songs are laced with the dreams of love and romance to which many teenage girls can easily relate to, will showcase her talents at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre for two nights, March 6th and 7th.

A news report from The Australian described her concert in Perth as a “breath of fresh air”. And if anything, Taylor Swift fans are in for the same thing. Writer Polly Cofous easily separated Swift from her contemporaries such as Britney Spears.

Coufos wrote that while Swift’s events are in par with that of Spears’ in terms of costume changes, production, and all,  “Swift clearly knows her audience. Bearing in mind the age of many people there, the volume was set at a safe level. She looked glamorous in everything from minis to ball gowns without being overtly sexual in her dress or manner.”

Coufos assert that although Swift’s voice is not among the strongest in the industry, she does not need it as it is just one facet of who she is.

One of the highlights during the Perth concert was when Swift saw a little girl perched on her father’s shoulders. Swift was moved and threw one of her gloves to the girl.

On another note, the-award winning singer-songwriter has been spotted dating Denver Bronco quarterback Tim Tebow. Sources reported that Swift has a huge crush on the football player, but there is still no news on public displays of affection between the two, only conversations about the Bible and Christianity.

After failed relationships with music artist Joe Jonas and Hollywood A-lister Jake Gyllenhaal, Swift is said to be taking things slow with Tebow. Sources, however, proclaimed that the singer is very much happy where she and the football player are right now.

The 64-year old John and his civil partner, David Furnish, held their traditional post-Oscar dinner ball at the Pacific Design Centre, with proceeds given to bolster the programs of the Elton John Aids Foundation. Last year, the dinner event raised $4 million. There is no official figure yet for this year’s fundraiser but reports revealed that tickets cost $3500.  Among John and Furnish guests who came that night were Katy Perry, Chace Crawford, Dita Von Teese, Heidi Klum and Jessica Alba.

Just two miles away, Madonna threw a dinner party at her manager Guy Oseary’s house. Determined to upstage John, the 53-year old diva even managed to recruit the services of John’s favorite florist, Los Angeles resident Eric Butterbaugh. Sources said that Madonna even personally called and invited Hollywood A-listers Penelope Cruz, Bradley Cooper and Cameron Diaz. Those who confirmed their attendance were Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Britney Spears, Natalie Portman, Sean Penn, Tom Hanks, Jennifer Lopez and Tom Cruise.

Demi Moore, one of Madonna’s closest friends and who usually co-hosts private events with the music artists, was not able to attend. It is reported that Moore is still recovering from a breakdown.

2011 was a year when many music festivals in England struggled in terms of sales and attendance. But the Green Man Festival was not part of that particular list as it sold more tickets than ever. Last year’s headliners included popular American music acts such as Fleet Foxes, Explosions in the Sky and Iron and Wine.

This year, the festival is poised to make a repeat as promotional tickets for Green Man 2012 are already sold out. The festival already achieved a milestone last year as tickets for the entire event sold out for the third straight year.

The celebration is slated to run from August 17th to 19th at the Glanusk Park, Wales, set in backdrop next to the very scenic Sugar Loaf Mountain. Event organizers have already announced several musical acts to banner Green Man 2012, including Canadian indie pop star Feist, The Walkmen, and Yann Tiersen.

Although music is the heart of the Green Man Festival, the event also provides platforms or tents for other artists. Last year, big names in literature like Simon Armitage, Howard Marks and Joe Dunthorne were showcased in the literature tent. Tom Wrigglesworth and Tony Law offered comic relief with their own brand of comedy at the Comedy Tent.

But many festival goers believe that it is the setting that makes the Green Man Festival unique. For Steve Tay, a Green Man Festival devotee, the event is “one of the most beautiful and magical festivals in the world” and that one wakes “to a view of the clouds and mist lifting over the black mountains is one of those moments that makes you appreciate life.”

Fiona Stewart, the festival’s managing director since 2006, was quoted saying that the event is “filled with the kind of unexpected experiences and areas which change a concert into a festival.” Stewart added that feedback from attendees helps them in improving the Festival and make it better the following year.

Last year, organizers set up the Nature and Nurture healing and therapy and the Einstein Science Garden areas as part of their newest attractions.

A part of the Green Man Festival’s charm is the absence (of) corporate sponsorship. No mega corporation has sponsored one of England’s most popular music festivals, which allowed organizers independence in running the event. It is financially hard to run a festival without a corporate partner, Stewart admitted in an interview.

However, Stewart said that if a corporation offers a sponsorship that will reflect the festival’s spirit, then they will consider it.

This duo hailed from Akron, Ohio, the dynamic duo has released their latest album Brothers in 2010. Brothers is their sixth studio album that marked the mainstream of their success as a band. The album won the Best Alternative Music Album of the Grammy Award. Pitchfork Media announced the album on March 2, 2010 and released by Nonesuch Records on May 18, 2010. The album debuted at no. 3 on the Billboard 200 and about 73,000 copies were sold in the first week of release. It is the band’s highest charting album to date and in January 2011, Brothers became a certified Gold by the RIAA as it shipped more than 500,000 copies.

The first single of the album ‘Tighten Up’ is The Black Keys’ most successful single yet. It’s their first charting song and it reached no. 1 on the Alternative Songs and Rock Songs charts. On an interview with Dan Auerbach, he said it was the last song they did for the album. Having written The Black Keys lyrics, Dan, Patrick, and Brian (Danger Mouse) went to the studio and tried to come up with a tune for it. ‘Tighten Up’ has then been licensed to appear in the FIFA 11 video game, Gossip Girl television series, Subaru commercial, as well as in films such as I Am Number Four and Bad Teacher.

The Black Keys have evolved over the years and record after record, their music has gotten even better. They brought in elements of jazz, hip hop, and funk into their blues and rock music. Mostly self-produced, the Black Keys lyrics are also mostly self-written. The front man of The Black Keys, Dan Auerbach has become more experimental on writing and their instrument mix. Their songwriting has become more complicated and less concentrated on the blues. Throughout their musical career, and has shown their writing capabilities with the Black Keys lyrics. The Foo Fighters Greatest Hits was released on November 3, 2009 on Roswell/RCA.  New songs included in the album are ‘Word Forward’ and ‘Wheels’, which was written for the friend of Dave Grohl who had died.  Along with the two new singles are the Grammy Award-winning songs of the band such as ‘The Pretender’, ‘All My Life’ and ‘Learn to Fly’. Others songs in the album are ‘Best of You’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘My Hero’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Big Me’. ‘Breakout’, ‘This is a Call’, ‘Long Road to Ruin’, ‘Skin and Bones’, and ‘Everlong’. The deluxe edition of the greatest hits Foo Fighters Greatest Hits also includes a book and the DVD features a live performance as well as all of their music videos.

Its release created a controversy and some critics regarding the content of the album. Front man Dave Grohl was in fact displeased with the release date of the album as the band has no plans of retiring yet. Grohl would’ve wanted to wait until they retire, but the label wanted them to do a compilation album for four years. Grohl has also stated that he would’ve preferred a different track listing. Critics have also noted that the album has missed to feature some of the best of the Foo Fighters songs. As of October 2010, the Foo Fighters Greatest Hits has sold 330,000 copies.

The Foo Fighters along with the members, Dave Grohl on the vocals and guitars, Nate Mendel on the bass, Taylor Hawkins on the drums and backing vocals, Christ Shiflett on the lead guitar and backing vocals, and Pat Smear on the lead and rhythm guitar, are without doubt among the most popular rock bands of the decade. Lead by the frontman Grohl, the band continues to release only the best of the Foo Fighters tickets, albums and tracks every year.

Four the Record, Miranda Lambert’s fourth studio album is due to be released on November 1, 2011. The track ‘Baggage Claim’ was released earlier in August 2011 as a lead-off single from her fourth studio album.
