Wiz Khalifa Tickets: More About Wiz Khalifa

Wiz Khalifa Tickets: More About Wiz KhalifaAmerican rapper Wiz Khalifa, born Cameron Jibril Thomaz on September 8, 1987 to parents committed to military service, know what it means to strike the iron while it’s still hot. Climbing the charts with his popular singles “Black and Yellow” and “In the Cut”, he is now one of those young rappers creating massive waves in the hip-hop music scene.

His early childhood was almost constantly on the move, living from one place to another due to his parents’ nature of work. They divorced when he turned three and he grew living up to his names Khalifa, which means “successor” in Arabic and Wiz, which was the shortened form of his nickname Wizard. He was later on separated from his mother when she was assigned to serve in the Operation Desert Storm, as he was entrusted to the care of his aunt. With such nomadic life, Khalifa instead found solace in music, as he draws inspiration from all the life experiences he was forced to have at a very young age. His future raps attested to the maturity he gained from the relentless world.

He was doing well in school as well as with his music, and so with guts and talents he pursued a career in the industry and released his first mixtape, “Prince of the City: Welcome to Pistolvania” in 2005. The following year, he recorded an album “Show and Prove” and became one of the artists expected to make it big for that year by Rolling Stone magazine. With musical influences including Camron, Jay-Z and the Notorious B.I.G., he later developed one on his own that took part to the rising interests of young talented kids on hip-hop. He signed to Warner Bros. Records in 2007 and released two mixtapes “Grow Season” and “Prince of the City 2”. His single “Say Yeah” landed on the 20th spot on Billboards Hot Rap Tracks and on the 25th spot on the Billboard Rhythmic Top 40 music chart. He was featured in a series of releases by other artists, including Usher’s “Love in This Club” and Underworld’s “Born Slippy”. He also released some more mixtapes on Rostrum Records, including “Star Power” in 2008 and “Flight School” in 2009. He decided to end his contract with Warner Bros., with the issue triggered by a series of delays in releasing his prescheduled debut album “First Flight” for the label.

Still with Rostrum Records, Khalifa released “Teach U to Fly” single and “How Fly” mixtape. He came up with his new album “Deal or No Deal” on November 2009. He appeared in many TV and road shows, featured in various magazines and was trending in Google hot searches and Twitter. He signed a deal with Atlantic Records and was featured in Rick Ross’s single “Super High” remix and video. He had many performances alongside other artists in events such as Soundset Festival and Rock the Bells Festival in 2010. He was arrested for marijuana possession on November of the same year while he was on his “Waken Baken” tour at East Carolina University, but he bailed out and resumed his tour activities.

Khalifa hitting the mainstream has finally come to a realization with his single “Black and Yellow”, which reached the number one spot in the Billboard Hot 100. He released his first album with Atlantic Records in 2011 with momentum supported by his mixtape “Cabin Fever”, his follow-up to the previously enormously trendy “Kush & OJ”. His first major studio album, Rolling Papers, was released on March 29, 2011 and debuted at a striking second place on the Billboard Charts. Wiz Khalifa tickets are available online and on various ticket outlets worldwide for his “Rolling Papers World Tour”, which features artists Chevy Woods and Big Sean.
