deadmau5 Tickets: More About deadmau5

deadmau5 Tickets: More About deadmau5Being able to create music with vocals and musical instruments was too conventional for the new artist named deadmau5. With his computer obsession and talent in making music out of instruments with no strings, drumsticks or holes, he created a space for electronic music with technology not any ordinary musician is capable of making. When it comes to music-making technology, deadmau5 stays on top of the game.

Born Joel Thomas Zimmer on January 5, 1981 in Niagra Falls, Ontario, he was greatly influenced by the chiptune movement and learned to use sound technology proficiently with his work in the local radio stations. He was into updating their systems, mixing and spinning music as well innovating new methods of recording. With such experience, he was not only able to create his own sound, he also developed a high level of expertise in electronic music not any other man had in his age and time. His name deadmau5 was taken after a dead mouse he found in his computer when he was replacing his video card. He used the Dead Mouse in the chat room as his nickname, but since it exceeded the IRC character limit, he shortened it into deadmau5 with the same pronunciation.

His career started to kick off during the ‘90s, and one of the initial successes he had included the track “This is the Hook”, which started as a joke and later became an astonishing hit. It sold well on the most popular online electronic music store, the “Beatport”, with more than 30,000 digital downloads. He released “Project 56” in 2005, a collection of 56 demos that included “Just before 8bit”. In 2006, he released “Get Scraped” featuring a wide selection of genres such as Trip Hop, Noise Pop, IDM, and Ambient/Downtempo. When he created his own label “mau5trap” in 2008, he released the album “Random Album Title” along with Ministry of Sound in UK and Europe and Ultra Records in the United States. This album included his collaboration with producer Kaskade in the track “I Remember” and “Move for Me”, which ranked number one on Billboard magazine’s Hot Dance Airplay chart in 2008.

His collaborations with various producers has also greatly helped with his success. Aside from his own releases, he has also worked together with other producers and DJs, including MC Flipside, Steve Duda and Rob Swire of Pendulum. Regardless of his early setbacks, he was able to carve his way into the music scene with his eclectic rhythms and beats, taking pride in making what he calls “intelligent” electronic music. With his House-Trance fusions, he became phenomenal with hits such as “Not Exactly”, “Ghost ‘n’ Stuff” and “Faxing Berlin”.

In his live shows, he often entertains wide audiences with his trademark costume head resembling that of the mouse, which he made while he was still learning to use a 3D program early on. He released his current album “4×4=12” in 2010 and he has been on tour in promotion of his recently-made tracks. Fans should look out for the sale of deadmau5 tickets and tour dates going on throughout the year to experience the ingenuity behind deadmau5′s live electronic performance for themselves.
